About business interpreting:

Unlike the court interpreting, business interpreting requires more than verbatim interpretation skills. The interpreter must understand the technical aspects of conducting business as well as the products. Having been a technical translator of a broad range of subjects since 1988 in the U.S, I am in a unique position to quickly grasp various technical concepts, from relatively simple engineering to highly advanced telecommunications. Furthermore, having received a college education and lived in the U.S. as a citizen for many years, I am in a better position to interpret the cultural dynamics of both Korean and American English languages.
